The ARTISTA T-Shirt
How It Began
My work is heavily influenced by my mother’s homeland, Mexico, this shirt is no different. Including all the different types of artists out there, I believe there is an artist inside of everyone. Some "starve" because they are practicing artists. Many others "starve" because they are not feeding their souls. This character comes straight from my painting titled ‘The Wedding’. The little skeleton is eating Mexican sweet bread called Pan Dulce. To me he represents the "struggle" and hard work we all face as artists and non artists. The sweet bread represents the joy we feel and get out of our successes especially when doing what we love. This t-shirt is for the artist in everyone. I will be donating 10% of t-shirt sales to https://artists4artists.org
Artists for Artists
I want to launch with positivity. Living in abundance means giving back. I will donate 10% of all t-shirt sales through September 2019 to Artists for Artists.
